The sacred quality of rites of passage
I’m writing this on the New Moon in Cancer, and I’m intimately aware that things are about to change for me. New moons are about setting intentions and this one is particularly meaningful for me as I am about to cross a threshold that stretches out across the sands of time. I am accepting an invitation to move into something unknown, new, and powerful. My intentions are clear, and so is my vulnerability.
This week I turn 60. Yes, it’s a strange number for me, but the power is in the meaning I assign to it. It is decidedly not going to mean the same thing that our culture has conditioned me to believe. Yet it is beyond that, a sacred journey marker in time, that represents something important for me personally but also symbolically for all modern women who have lost the way to recognize their milestones as representing a sacred quality.
Have you ever felt that sense of deeper meaning as you approach an important milestone in your life? Outside of births and deaths, or religious ceremonies in western culture, we don’t make sacred the rites of passage when a girl begins to menstruate or mark the phases in our life as women as we move from maiden, priestess, queen, then crone. How do we know what these phases mean? It’s not enough to see that there are the decades marked in fashion magazines with suggestions for how we should appear. Our milestones are those of the soul, the mystical, and markers of the maturation of experience as we travel and write the stories of our lives.
I think feeling vulnerable is an indication of a number of things. I have no idea what life will offer and ask of me next. I’ll admit I’m painfully aware that in our world turning 60 as a woman means the opposite of how I feel- that it’s a sign of being invisible, a potential burden, the loss of beauty, and value, and certainly of youth and vitality. We’re not taught to honor the wisdom of the mature and experienced as much as we value youth. Because of this stigma I’ve seen women shrink and refuse to tell their ages in fear that it will somehow minimize their potential or value in the world. Whether we like it or not this is the world we live in for now.
But that’s not the world I choose, and not the one I am contributing to.
I am marking this milestone in a way that is sacred and meaningful. It’s not about parties and presents for me although I’m grateful for my generous husband and amazing friends who want to honor my day.
I am marking this milestone as stepping into my queen years where my personal sovereignty can no longer be dictated by the outer conditions imposed upon me by a system that was created to repress my fire. I’m just beginning to rise. Like many women, I have heard the call and I am answering it. For me, everything is new and exciting but I’m coming to it all with a deeper sense of the Mystery and less attachment on what I used to think was so important.
I enter this new decade like an exotic life cake that’s now fully baked! Now I’m responsible to share all the ingredients from what I have learned and commit to continue to learn and explore and do my tiny part to help birth a new world into being. I am marking this glorious 60th birthday as a new beginning, more empowered than ever before, yet so incredibly grateful and humble that I got to live this far considering where I came from.
So tell me how you feel about seeing your milestones through a sacred lens. How have you marked your sacred journey?
Me? I’m getting ready to bake a new life cake! I can hardly wait to see how it turns out and share it with you.
To you who read these blogs, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. There is so much more to come! Big Giant Birthday Blessings from me to all of you!

Happy Birthday, Colette! I know your birthday isn’t today, but my son’s is, so it was especially fun to listen to this week’s video and read the blog while I was taking a break from making his birthday cake. He’s 11 today. Not a milestone, but a special day nonetheless. 🙂
The positive energy you radiate is contagious, and I enjoy tuning in to your videos and your blog and carrying that energy with me throughout the week. I’m very much looking forward to the upcoming week. I hope you have a wonderful week celebrating the beauty and wisdom you’ve attained in your journey to becoming 60 years young!
Happy Birthday Colette! Welcome to the beginning decade of the Queen! I will be 62 this coming October. When I pass a mirror, I still see remnants of the young woman I was, staring with hope and trepidation. Now I can add wisdom and acceptance and gone is the fear. May this decade bless you with all that you wish for. Much love to you!
Love your Blogs Colette ❤️
HAPPY BIRTHDAY FROM ME AND HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY XXX
Happy birthday Colette. I love that you are embracing this next decade. May we all honour (and not denigrate) the wisdom of the “hoary head”. Thank you for your guidance and wisdom x
Colette, I have followed your life path (through your blogs) for many years and so appreciate your take on life. As you step into your Queen years I know you will make the most of this time. I am genuinely grateful that you have been there for me at times and wish you all that is good and wholesome and wonderful on this part of your journey.

Thank you Colette for sharing so much wisdom and lots of fun as well.
I’m wishing you the HAPPIEST OF BIRTHDAYS this week and many more to come. I feel truly blessed to have discovered you through Hay House, together with so many other wise, generous and knowledgeable teachers and I have read most of your books. There was one I could not find however, and perhaps you can advise if it is out of print or where I may be able to buy. The title is: Remembering the Future and I would like it in print – not the e-book. Hoping you can help and thank you again for being such a generous soul – I truly love all that you do.
Happy Happy Birthday!!!
Warmest wishes, Helen (Sydney, Australia)
Thank you Colette for sharing so much wisdom and lots of fun as well.
I’m wishing you a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY for this week and many more to come. I have just entered my 70th decade!!!! and feel truly blessed to have discovered you through Hay House, together with so many other wise, generous and gifted teachers.
I have read most of your books, however there was one I could not find and was wondering if you could advise whether it is out of print or where I may be able to buy a copy. The title is “Remembering the Future” and I would prefer it in print rather than an e-book. Hoping you can help and thank you again for being such a generous soul – I truly love all that you do.
Happy Birthday again!!!
Love and best wishes,
Helen (Sydney – Australia)
Beautifully written Colette – so much meaning & yes, the words are so sacred. Happy Birthday. Enjoy your day – you have earned a very special one.

Happy Birthday Colette! i just celebrated my 33rd this 14th July each year i feel younger at heart. Didn’t know you are also a Cancerian =) love watching your vdos every week. Much blessings, magic and love to you always x
Happy birthday Colette. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and personal insights. You inspire me. Vulnerability means just without protection between you and the outer world, without protection between you and your own heart/soul. So full unrestrained connection with All. Enjoy! Breath in and breath out. Happy birthday!
Inge
I love that entering your queen years! Mazzal tov dear Colette
I turned 70 this year and all I see are new opportunities despite a little infirmity. My spirit and heart are embracing life and I have a timeless quality that I cherish.
I wish you much happiness and joy in your 60th year. Age although only number, is a benefit and expansion continues. Something to embrace.
You are a beautiful soul inside and out Colette. Thank you for sharing your story so bravely, I love reading your blogs.
Happy Birthday Colette. I am 66 years of age (not 66 years old you notice) I have been training for the last eighteen months as a counsellor, therapist, life coach. You are never too old to learn and never too old to change. I am a retired school teacher by the way and have many life skills to bring to this profession. Not least because I have had anxiety and depression myself and I have to say Colette that reading your blog always lifts my spirits. So go girl you are an example to us all.
May your Birthday Wishes ad everything you desire.
Love and Light
Eileen
Oh Colette! Firstly, thank you for this gorgeous blog! It’s very interesting when we think about how we do not honour a woman’s right of passage like other cultures perhaps would. Perhaps interesting is the wrong word to use, perhaps it’s western misogyny, or fear of the feminine is why we don’t in western society. Secondly, it is amazing to read how you intend to mark your milestone and how you won’t be owing to the “conformity” of turning 60! Your passion and power, as always, is simply awesome!
In the past there hasn’t been much in the way of marking of milestones, I personally couldn’t be doing with the once a year fake happiness while the rest of the year was full of gripes and moans and blame and fights… and that was the extended family! LOL!… My next milestone is 40 and although it’s still a whopping 2 years away it is looming very large in my mind. The prospect terrifies me in that I am sort of a Peter Pan, I don’t want be an adult, or get old, or be 40… but I know like the tide turns, its inevitable! I hope that when my next milestone comes I face it with as much pride, strength and awesome energy that you have shown, Colette, you truly are inspiring!!
The happiest of birthdays to one of the most loving, caring, generous people I have ever had the chance to “meet”. I am sending big squishy hugs and lots of love and blessings to you!
Take care and I’ll see you in O.S.
Love,
Stuart Kelly
Congratulations, gorgeous! My friends say the the 60’s rock! Hurray for that!
Thank you for your love, your dedication and your wisdom, you Rock Star <3
Blessed be xoxo
Hi Colette,
Many thanks for this timely blog! I’m approaching 56 years of age and was beginning to dread the approach of 60. I was allowing the “negative” connotations of “turning 60” in a few years time to take over my present thoughts!
Not any more, I will look forward to “baking a new life cake” and rejoice in who I am now, not waste my present by dreading who I think I might become!
Thank you again,
Elaine
I’m very grateful for your sharing of what it means for you crossing the 60 years old (forgive my English, I’m french). That really resonate in me, feeling inside so wise, so powerful, so quiet completely different with the usual “saying”. Thank you, your sharing reinforce my inner feeling of being out of time and age (even if I have to take care of my body). Be blessed and Happy birthday Colette. I find you so beautiful and so true! It’s a pleasure to look at you and listen to you. Bises from France

Happy happy birthday Colette ! .. i read all your blogs and like them ! .. our beautiful July born daughter celebrates 25 any day now ! .. ahhh milestones .. i did grow up without marking milestones >> but i did make sure my daughter had a meaningful maiden ceremony when she began her menstruation .. lots of women (about40) gathered in a circle .. it was beautiful and healing for many of the women who attended .. some women felt they had finally been honoured by honouring and marking my daughters passage to becoming a maiden .. so i am sure that you sharing with us readers how you will mark your special milestone will heal bits of the us too .. honouring ourselves is important .. have a wonderful time marking your milestone !!! .. with much love and respect .. Lisa
Have a wonderful birthday! Sending much love! Xxx Baba
Happy Birthday Colette!!
Your cards and the simple confidence that you carry yourself with are such an inspiration to me! Thank you! I love that there is still a Queen phase to look forward to 🙏🏼🎉✨
I love this too
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜¡Feliz Cumpleaños Colette! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
When they ask me for a reference, for someone to whom I would follow for inspiration with no doubt, I always talk about you.
You have 60 years of experience in the field of life, which is the hardest of all,
and you have managed to survive -and thrive!- becoming an example for many of us.
Happy birthday, enjoy it in company of all those who love you and appreciate you.
Happy birthday Colette……my birthday was July 15th…I am embracing 67 with gratitude and great joy for the blessings in my life. It’s not about the limiting beliefs we were handed and conditioned or conned to believe….it’s about celebrating with joy the opportunity we have to express ourselves fully. Joy and self- expression instead of ego. All ego does is keep us small and it does a great job of it…..I think we share the same mission: to inspire women to embrace their lives, regardless of their age and fully step into their true power. We go first.
As my Australian Instagram friend, Jack Delosa said today…it’s pretty gangster.
Make some wishes Colette, that sparkle like the candles 🎂 on your sumptuous cake of life! I particularly adore the analogy of being queen now, regal and innately powerful and bejewelled as you are in gifts within. You’re shining every day Colette. Love from your sisterly fresh daisy 60. Still a girl.
Welcome to 60! I’ve been here/there since November, and the waters are fine. The “invisible” “burden” “dried up” BS-noise was actually stronger about six or seven years ago; it doesn’t register now. Because I know myself, and know that I am just coming into my fullest and deepest powers. When WE know, the world knows. As within, so without and all that. Enjoy this time of great freedom and being. Happy Birthaversary, Collette! 🎂🎁👑🎉🎶
Happy Birthday 🎈 dear Colette!
What an uplifting blog about the 60 figure.
I love it.
Always keep room for the unimaginable says Mary Oliver 😊
That’s exactly what you do.
With love from Amsterdam.

Happy birthday and welcome to your queenship!! I love that phrase. It is perfect for those of us blessed to make it this far. I called myself ‘the matriarch’ (but like ‘queen’ better!) when I had my big 7-0 this May and decided to celebrate in Australia. Following your lead (as always),I am preparing to move there this fall to see how I can learn and grow in a new enviroment. Exciting – and scary, but I have the Oracles for support and encouragement. Thank you thank you! xoxo
Happy 60th year to you Colette! I love your message to the goddesses of our world! You are an inspiration to me over and over, thank you💜
Colette…What a wonderful treat to be in this life circle as you cross this wonderful milestone in your journey. Yes I have to at 62 remind myself every day that I Am writing my Own “LifeStory” because So many others are willing to write it for you if you allow them to. I always have to remind myself… how has that been working out for you? And then I just continue on writing my own chapters and rewriting even the ones that no longer serve me…so I honor this opportunity that you have my sister of writing your own life story. Maybe someday we will meet in the flesh because we oh so already know each other in the spirit. Much love and blessings to you my sister always! Remember, we came to enjoy the ride! My daughter just said to me yesterday…we finally realized your purpose in life mom, you came to start the Fire…not to spread the Flame or to put them out…you just came to start them and move on…😉 I thought that was a funny observation but it was cute, I appreciated it. Have a wonderful birthday month my sister!🎉🎂🎼🎊🎁😉
Happy Birth to you on our special day you decided to bring your soul to our world!! We are all more blessed for your presence. May the Light shine brightly on your new “unknown” and bring you the wonder of it wrapped in joy! May your walk “be” in peace and you upcoming year of more of “you” be filled with magic! Much Love to you Colette!
Happy Birthday, Colette — and thank you for so generously sharing your thoughts and energy! I’ve bookmarked this post because I’ll be turning 60 in 4 months, and this will be a birthday gift I give myself. I still feel more like a “lost” 18-year-old than a mature woman most of the time, so I tend to face birthdays with a sense of regret and self-blame. Your post is prompting a much-needed attitude adjustment. Blessings upon you!!
Happy Birthday fellow 1958’er
All the best for your “queen” journey.
Thank you for the magic and wisdom you generiusky share with us.

You are such an inspiration. Here’s to the reign of the coming years! Can’t wait! With much love. xo
I love you!
You are such an inspiration for me, I’m so grateful for having you in my life. Thank you for sharing your wisdom.
Happy Birthday! I’m celebrating a milestone birthday too! I’m turning 50 this month and I’m celebrating with my online community in two online journal workshop sessions where we’ll map some of the turning points, milestones, and accomplishments on our soul traveler maps. I’m so excited that I get to honor each participant to my journal party. I believe we are living in a time of great change where the wisdom of elders will be sought after. Like you I’m feeling vulnerable but alive and open to how I can bring my gifts to the world.
BTW – Each participant received a gorgeous envelope in the mail and I sent them a card from your Enchanted Map Oracle Deck. After I lead them in a Soul Journey to connect with their soul treasure, they will have time to tune into the messages from their wise self as they look at their card and read the accompanying insert. Thank you for inspiring me and my creative & soulful journey.
PS – I see that we both live in New Hampshire.
Happy Birthday Colette 💕💫 I will turn 63 this year and I feel very blessed ❤️ Like they say!!! Age is just a number so let the journey begin.
Thank you 🤗👼💋
Love Ursula
Happy birthday Colette!
You are too full of life to ever “get old”.
I’ve chosen to ignore th number, but breathe in the wisdom and experience that comes with the passage of life. I’ll be 57 at the end of the month, I feel like I’m just getting started!
Have a fabulous birthday! You bring so much to the world with all that you do.
Much love and appreciation from a forever, never gonna leave student,
Barb Arnold
Happy Birthday, Colette and thank you so very much for sharing your knowledge with us!
I have just turned 44 (on the 11th) and I am very greatful for having lived this much so far. When I turned 30, it was a great milestone for me because all my friends then used to say that when you turn 30, you’re definately no longer a kid and you should become someone “serious” – whatever that means! I felt that was such a nonsense because, when I turned 30, I felt more alive than ever!
I can’t imagine what it feels like to turn 60, but I guess and hope it’s such a great feeling – twice as wonderful as turning 30 🙂
I wish you a great birthday week and a wonderful new life cake! And I thank you once more for sharing it with us.

Colette I am 67 young and welcome to the best decade yet!!! The sixties have been the years where I am growing into my wisdom and beauty. I know you will do the same. Enjoy your special day!!!
Shine on bright star! Your sparkle glistens with a patina of warmth and confidence! Generosity and gratitude are timeless! Thank you for sharing your gifts! With warmest wishes and fondest regards for continued good health, happiness, laughter and new adventure!
Happy Birthday Colette! A big YES to experiencing milestone birthdays as sacred thresholds on our journeys. When I turned sixty almost nine years ago I chose to say NO to a twenty five year old dying-on-the-vine marriage and instead say YES to me and the vibrant life within me waitin to be expressed. I’ll get to meet you for the first time at Oraclepalooza in August. So excited!!!
Happy Birthday Beautiful and Inspiring Lady! I am two years away from the 80’s decade and your blog today reinforces what I’ve come to believe about thinking young and enjoying our life cake! I had a very difficult time adjusting to the wrinkles and the inevitable “droopings” that can occur when you listen to the social warnings about aging… but the strength and meaning of messages such as yours has helped me to adjust and I’m still tap dancing…most of the time! lol Thank you so much for your sparkling wisdom and your warmth! I love your wonderful oracle cards; they are the light of my morning. May this decade surround you with all that’s joyful. A fellow Canadian, Christine.
I am turning 60 on August 3rd and that number has been scaring me silly. Your words spoke what I have been feeling…Invisible..no longer employable or wanted. As a Leo age is a difficult thing for me. I have no spouse or close friends to talk to about this. I am working very hard to accept that number and find a way to start a new with it in a new business of my own. I hope it works. Happy birthday to a fellow 60 year old!
Happy Birthday, Colette! Thank you for this kick-arse post and for paving the way to a new, more reverent, thought paradigm for women!
Wishing you the happiest of birthdays Colette!🎂🎉✨ I so enjoy your energy, your cards, and your weekly readings. I have some of your apps and cards love them and I really enjoy your positive messages of empowerment! Happy Birthday!
✌🏾💕✨🦄
I love this! Happy Birthday Colette! I am 55 and it feels like I am doing so much internal work, growing and taking care of business to set myself up for the best years of my life so far…the 60’s. So I agree, it doesn’t seem the message of society fits with anything of this…and yet, I love it so much! So thanks for sharing, a reminder that we are all on our right path….!! Best to you in your celebration of your life and milestone!!
Colette! Honey you have written this post for ME and all women stepping into a new decade of their lives!! I’m ushering in my 40th next week and I’m preparing to celebrate it with all reverence to the divine feminine mystery awakening inside me. Your post brought messages from spirit to me around the Queen Bee animal totem that’s made her way into my life recently. You spoke about heralding in the maiden, priestess, Queen, and crone eras of our lives and I heard it clearly. I must walk into this priestesshood with trust and letting go of fear, making space for the fire within to live and create through me. You, the Queen, has spoken, and we are listening. The anchor card (Message in a bottle was right! Haha!) lots of love in this new dawning for you. X
Happy “Sexy Sixty” Colette! You rock it girl, as you always do! I too, turn sixty this August! And as a friend of mine always said…. “ age is just a state of mind” . Many Blessings to you on this next phase of your life’s journey! Lots of love to you! Paula.
I threw a big party for my mom on her 60th. It was a big milestone for her, so I can understand how you feel. I’m not really sure how I will celebrate my 40th this year. But I really feel that my next decade will be better than the last. Big hugs and Happy, Happy Birthday!
YESSSSS !!!!
xoox
I have 4 planets in Leo.. I hear you but we must rise into our QUEEN years with grace and make them kick ass!!
love it

Hello and Happy 60 years of wisdom!!!
And I wanted to thank you for the creation of your Mystical Shaman Oracle. After using your freebees for a couple of years this deck resonated with me in a very powerful way. I connect so strongly that I even bought another deck for a friend I hadn’t talked with in years. To say she was surprised was an understatement but that is another story:)
Your blog reminded me of my upcoming 55 milestone and how I celebrated my 50 years of life. When I was still on social media I posted something well received by many of the people in my past life.
It isn’t just a sum, category, or even a moment. Though my birthdate hasn’t carried much relevance since my teen years, 50 seems magical somehow. The door was invisible and the minute I stepped through I was on my way to another age. But if I glance back, like a camera flashing, I can see clear pictures of my youth. Not all were victorious but all were fortuitous. The most vivid snapshots are the ones where I made choices.
Our grade school had added on and in the process a class was moved to our school from a different town. When our teacher told us that two more students were needed from our class to fill the other I raised my hand. I didn’t dislike anyone in my old class, in fact my best friend JoAnn was to remain. Even though it was only a different classroom, in sixth grade, it was if someone had offered me a new realm where I’d been given the power to choose. Click…
Junior high in a new town our family had moved to. I remember excitedly running through ice covered puddles on my way to the cinder track. It was the first sport I had chosen to join. Click…
Another new town, this time a new state, I am walking into Mr. Bong’s class and ‘Rosie’ is blasting over the speakers. Click… I am washing the finger prints and hand smudges off the front door windows of the high school. The sounds of bouncing basketballs and squeaking sneakers on the polished wood floors obscure the shouts and chatter up and down the hallways. Click…
I walked home on a cold wet day from class in LaCrosse, with a housemate, we freaked because the front door’s glass was bloody and broken out. Click…
One of my favorites was of Mickey picking me up at my parents in his Firebird, to go to a family birthday party. When he handed me a brown diamond shaped box and quietly asked me those four wonderful words I thought my heart was going to burst. We didn’t leave until I dragged him back into the house and told my parents.
There are so many moments, jobs, places, and ideas I’ve lived in these last fifty years but it has been the right and not so right choices that have spurred my growth. The lessons have been momentous and I have learned to really love and appreciate everything I have right now and every moment…even the things that are hard to swallow.
My number one lesson has been non-judgmental love and compassion for my family and friends and a deeper appreciation for their strengths. I strive daily not to wallow in other people’s sadness and anger without becoming indifferent so that I can hold onto the magic of each moment. Regret is not an option and 50 is only the beginning.
CHEERS to your another new beginning! Love your blogs and your stellar light!
Cecilia
Happy Birthday! 60 was a big year for me. Divorced after 33 years of marriage – got some Me time to dig deep and discover how strong and resilient I am and to celebrate just how far I have come. Now coming on 62 – and it is all so good – amazing even! Welcome Collette – you are going to rock it!

Happy Birthday Colette. I turned 60 June 11th of this year. I was just contemplating this new chapter in my life yesterday and then here was this message. Thank you. I choose to move into it as you are. I saw you speak in San Antonio years ago and felt an immediate love and respect for you. I quote you often. I sometimes do not have time for every message but certainly am glad I took the time for this one. Love and light to you!
Dear Colette,
Happy Birthday! I love how you are celebrating a life fully lived and still striving to make it fuller and brighter than years past. To me every birthday is a milestone. I look at the year past and see how far I have grown and then the year I’m entering to realize how much more I still have to accomplish in my personal life journey. It is a celebration to be here and be aware. Enjoy your day and every day this new year has to offer you.
I was hoping to be in Texas this year for Oraclplooza but I missed early bird registration so I hopefully will be at your next seminar and meet you. Thank you for sharing your guidance and wisdom with us all.
Blessings,
Michelle
Happy birthday Colette! Thank you for sharing you many gifts!!
Happy 60th Birthday!!! When I turned 50 I decided that 50 would be my new 20 and I was going to unapologetically do what I wanted! (read: pedicures, travel and time with friends kinds of things) My next big milestone should be coming soon! I am changing my name and dropping my ex-husbands!! I will be my own person! Thank you for your messages and always being such an inspiration to all of us!!
ps. The Mystical Shaman deck is fabulous!! It is by far a favorite and I am so incredibly happy it spoke to me!
I loved every word of this. Thank you for sharing it with us. It was a nice reminder and encouragement for us alI. I just celebrated 46 a few days ago and I’m no longer going to pretend to be in my 30’s. Honestly, I feel much younger than I am and yet am thankful for being so much wiser than I was when I was younger. I wouldn’t trade the things I’ve learned, even the most painful ones, for anything in this world. They are treasures.
Happy Birthday Colette! May this be the best chapter of your life yet! You prove you are as youthful as you feel and the best is always yet to come! Love and Blessings to you!
It’s a strange feeling to turn 60 or 65 which was my last birthday Last year. I still wonder where the time has gone and how did I turn my Mother’s age so soon! But I’ve also learned that it is just a number! I don’t feel my age and certainly don’t act my age and love who I am. So as you turn a fabulous 6-0! Enjoy your time on this earth and BE who you are! A beautiful wonderful spiritual being having a human experience. Happy birth Day!
Yeah! Happy Birthday! Your 60th birthday certainly is one to celebrate. So much good comes from this great maturity! Since I entered my sixties a few years ago I have really grown to love the women that I have become. I really like her! I have learned so much from my journey of life and have lost many loved one along the way. I have learned that it’s okay I have surrounded myself with a new family that is like minded and like hearted. It’s all about what we become inside not the outside and one thing I find interesting is that people love me for who I am I’m not judged by how I look or what I’m wearing. I can have a conversation with the opposite sex – not matter the age – and not feel like it is all sexual. I’ve come into my own. I just wish that the body would do the same thing. I could use a healthy body right about now but not having one is what has made me appreciate this marvelous journey and has taught me so much!
xoxo Joanne
Happy Birthday Colette!
Here’s to even more new magical beginnings and celebrations!
Warm wishes!

When I turned 74 in Feb. I had a nap. Then my granddaughter called to wish a Happy Birthday. Then she asked me “How does it feel to be 74?” My reply ” When I laid down for a nap, I was 74 and when I woke up I felt like a 25 yr old.” Then she told me I couldn’t be 25 because she was 25. So I said OK then I am 35, She was OK with that. Age is just a number that I have developed my awareness of the Divine in myself. Love every minute of it.

“I am marking this milestone as stepping into my queen years where my personal sovereignty can no longer be dictated by the outer conditions imposed upon me by a system that was created to repress my fire.” < Such strength so clearly expressed! Happiest of Birthdays, dear Colette and thank you for the continued light and inspiration. ❤
Wherever you are in the journey; whatever stage (decade) you are entering. The most valuable gifts that I could never survive without; an open mind, curiosity, a compassionate heart; sense of humor. Critical is the motivation to keep getting up each time life throws me curve; knocks me down; presents an obstacle. To have faith that a force wiser than I am is guiding/protecting, loves me unconditionally and has the highest /best interests at heart. To be reminded that none of the innate talents and gifts that I have been seeded with; were intended for other purposes than to develop; enjoy, celebrate, share in as many ways and directions as possible. When I share the blessings that I receive they are multiplied. To withhold them I harm not only myself but limit who I might become. These opportunities could lead to places that I really might not have the vision to imagine.
In the 62nd year of my life; a clear sense of what matters most to me; what I value and believe; and truthfully; it really doesn’t matter how anyone else who might evaluate “success” from a different vantage point. “Say what you mean; and mean what you say; for those who matter don’t mind; and those mind don’t matter” . Dr. Seuss
Wishing you the happiest 60th birthday you have ever had!!!!! And seeing that you won’t have another one quite like it; CELEBRATE all that you have created; and shared so freely with the world. I would not be who and where I am today without this blog that opens the way to share and express my ideas and be heard, welcomed and understood. That is a gift that I deeply appreciate.
Dear Colette;
Wishing you a memorable birthday and may the coming year be filled with
opportunities, and adventures that you could never have imagined.
I’m deeply grateful for you in this world, Colette! Happy Birthday! 60 looks absolutely FABULOUS on you! And I love how you share of all of yourself – it’s a beautiful thing to witness and is always encouragement to me. Being in Oracle School and almost done with Shared Wisdom has been such a blessing for me is SO MANY WAYS. I feel honored to share the same birthday month with you as my birthday is the 18th and I’ll be turning 55….and it’s because of women like you, that I look so forward to 60 and beyond. Thank you so much for all the love and wisdom you share. It has made such a difference in my life. Much love to you always!!
A very Happy Birthday to you Collette!! I am facing that “BIG 6-0” on 8/18 this year, and I soo needed this! I’ve been working it and have had a pretty good attitude despite some body challenges (recovering from broken foot/sprained ankle plus rotator cuff surgery last fall). I keep saying it’s OK to be the turtle – just keep going!
Thanks for all of your inspirations over the years!
Just wanted to wish you Happy Birthday again and let you know I loved this and the message you are sending. I already commented on the Oracle School group so I don’t want to be redundant but love love love what you do and share with everyone. You are truly an incredible Queen!!! 💖💕💖
First Colette, warmest birthday greetings.
Welcome to the other side—I made the journey this May.
I experience a deep level of contentment in this stage of my life. Not that my life is anything I thought it would be at this point but, it reminds me I am still alive and there is a lot more living to be done. Another fascinating of aspect of aging is the broader awareness of my body being a vehicle—we are so much more than it
Life is the best adventure around or as Auntie Mame would say, “Life is a banquet and most poor suckers are starving to death.”
Happy Birthday Colette!! I turned sixty four years ago and marked it with a motorcycle quest that took me on an inner and outer journey I couldn’t have dreamt possible. The 60s are amazing!! All the best!!
Happy Birthday Colette. You are a fun-magnet for learning about ourselves and the world of spirit. Keep on keeping on young friend. Thank you for sharing your gifts.
Happiest of birthday’s To fabulous you!! I have followed you for many years, your wisdom and advice guiding me along the path of my life journey. I have been so blessed to have found you and your willingness to encourage and push and challenge me to step out of my comfort zone, to get to know my goblin and make peace with what is behind me and gloriously step into the unknown without (much) fear but with joy, optimism and love. Thank you. For your courage and bravery to step forward and share your life, your story and you, with us. Brightest blessings and big love on this exciting chapter!! xo
Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday Dear Collette, Happy birthday to you! 💕🌸💕🌸💕🌸💕
Such a beautiful post . . . . well said!!! Your true essence and generosity of spirit shine brightly. No matter what your physical age, you, Darling, are timeless; and, your wisdom is a gift to all. Sending many blessings for a special celebratory year! The best is yet to come . . . . can’t wait to see what direction you’ll be guided to take!!! Happy Birthday!!! ♥
Happy Birthday, Collette. From what I know, you and I share the same birthdate – same day, same year following very similar paths! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US~ May we rise to the highest expression of who we are meant to be in this lifetime ~ radiating Light, Love and Joy!! XO, Georgette
Thank you for writing this. I am celebrating my 40th this week. A milestone birthday. I have had many reflections and others giving me “social beliefs” as advice.
Thank you for the love and light you bring to this world and affirming the beauty of aging as a woman.
Xo
Smiling and sending so much love and wishing you a magical 60th birthday Colette! You are so beautiful from the inside out and love your energy, your wisdom and leadership. I will be 60th in February 2019 and I’m quite excited about the sacred journey of our lives and feel this will be one of the best years of my life. Thank you for your blogs ~ and wonderful insights! Love, Light and Gratitude, Moira
Canada is lucky to have you!
Many Happy Returns !!!! 60 is a special time, and you have such wisdom that it will only get better
Colette how wonderful you are!
I have been using your The Good Tarot deck for almost a year and love the support and guidance I feel from it. It’s my first time using cards and love how it is a way to hear a new voice ( other than my own thank Pete ) and to get “my awesome spirit perspective.” It has opened me up to so much and new possibilities and opportunities are just rolling in.
I also really enjoyed learning more about oracle cards and readings from your webinars.
They are so helpful and have brought about even greater clarity to me.
Thank-you 🙂
I am a fellow Canadian and now am also so excited to learn that we share a Birthday week!
Happy Birthday to you !! Thank you for using your influence to pave the way with a fresh mindset and perspective on aging, as we truly move into these the most wonderful and powerful years of our lives! Time to unleash the feminine.
Much love and gratitude
Arlene Pol xx
A blessed 60 year celebration to you!! I turned 60 this year also and this blog post is so encouraging! Thank you!! Love and hugs!! 💙 💚
Happy Birthday Colette! Toot! Toot!
Love it, thank you and well said! Happy Birthday! You are such an inspiration to me.
Yes, Happy Birthday. With every milestone there is a ceremony. From a very early age: babies; with each developmental milestone they achieve, are celebrated and when they reach the age of one years- there is a huge celebration in which the entire community is invited to celebrate. For each stage in life our women (and men) are celebrated and it isn’t ironic that you also titled this “rites of passage” because that is exactly how it is referred. From our babies, to teenagers, to elders- to our homes, our community, our environment… everything has a ceremony. So your right! Let’s celebrate because there is a reason to!
For me, the birthday has always been a BIG deal. It’s MY day. So if it falls during the work week, I take the day off and go on a scavenger hunt. I pick five things that I want to find, like a dragonfly or a giraffe, things that have personal meaning to me. Then I go “shopping.” I browse through stores, looking for my five things. The Universe has never failed to show me the five things I was looking for, which serves as an affirmation that it is celebrating my special day with me.
I will turn 50 this year, so I think I will take the scavenger hunt to a city I have never been to before. I typically do it fairly locally, but I think it would be nice to go somewhere totally new, spend a night in a nice hotel, and have a day of hunting somewhere unfamiliar. I am single with no kids, and most of my friends are Married With Children and Full Time Jobs, so I have to get creative in how I celebrate when I usually have to do it solo. Although this year, my birthday falls on a Saturday, so I may be able to get a friend to come along.
Happy birthday, and best wishes for the Universe sending you an idea for a meaningful milestone celebration!
Happy birthday, Colette! Thank you for this post – my niece had her first cycle last week and I’ve been wanting to do something special for her to mark this absolutely sacred time. I love that you validated that desire with your message – the Universe sending signs indeed!!! Also, I love that you call this time of life your queen stage. I turned 50 in the past 6 months and have struggled a little with negative conditioning around it. I will think of myself as being in the queen stage from now on. I know I have a lot to offer still. Thanks very much, Colette 🙂
YES!
Happy 60th Queen Colette! You are going to do such wonderful things with all the wisdom you have gathered through the years. I turned 66 on the 3rd of July & want to age gracefully with the wisdom I have gathered to help others. And in my transition I have most graciously met you online and know reading oracle cards for myself and others is my next phase. I’m excited and so grateful I have been touched by your love. Peace, Love & Joy
I hear you girl! Happy Birthday and thank you foe bestowing your well-earned wisdom on us!
Oh my goodness! I turned 50 in May and no joke I feel EXACTLY THIS SAME WAY. HAPPY BIRTHDAY COLETTE! 💗🙏🏻🎈🌟🍾🥂🎶🌺💫. I adore you!
Let me say WOW! I actually made a decision and said to my Divine,
“ I am ready”. Just seconds after that a simple meme popped in front of my eyes, purple with white writing ( which I immediately connected to the spiritual crown chakra. It read “it’s ok but o receive !” I felt the wheels in motion and the experiences I have been having are deep level meaningful stuff involving deeper more meaningful relationships and connectedness with family, my Mom, and all interpersonal relationships and I have extended myself beyond my comfort zone to say yes to things that I would have normally just let pass while being non-joyful. I actually have skin-art (tattoo) of a tree with my female form as the trunk. It has some blossoms and a raven as a look out. It represents me growing through life. Just 3-4 weeks ago I said to my sister, “ I feel I want to add green to my tree”. I’m at a crossroads and I do not know the future but my inner joy and complete faith and gratitude and Grace of God has pushed back any fear. I am living fully in the present and take things as they come. What an incredible feeling!
Thank you for allowing me to share
Happy Birthday Colette, may you have a FABULOUS day. I have one more year to go before I reach this magical milestone, and am sort of looking forward to it. Each year I gain more insite (thanks to you) and growth in so many ways. Thank you for everything you bring to sooo many people. Enjoy this part of your journey. Happy Birthday xx

I got the book through IBooks easily! There is some company sells through Amazon, but It is cost a lot… Great Book!
Birthday Wishes of fulfilling all of your highest good Colette! We share the same birthday – I experienced my milestone of 60 wonderfilled years last year! Tomorrow, I’ll be 61, I’m even more in anticipation of what is to unfold!
Hail to 717!
Being of service is the best gift that you have given to many of us! I personally want to say thank you, my life has changed drastically since learning Astrology with Debra Silverman and learning the art of the Oracle cards with you. I’m a new woman. I have and am still discarding old teachings, mindsets, and behaviors. The attachments as mentioned in your blog … are lessening! Hallelujah for that!
That’s rebirth now and forever! My Life is partnered with SPIRIT!
I don’t parent anything or anyone anymore, I only share! Less stressful! The philosophy of living is grander now without the old ideals of aging! It’s nothing like THEY have said! Wisdom makes one beautiful…
I may never get to see you in person, then I may … that’s my hope! Lady, Lady what a difference technology has made for me to be able to learn and apply! Evolve more so we can too!!!
Happy Birthday! Love you Sister/Friend
Dearest Colette, Being of Love 💖
Welcome through the 60s portal, a magical and powerful time of new energies. I’m right with you on redefining what the 60s and beyond may mean for those of us who are there ( I turned 63 July 12, my dear man will be 65 tomorrow, same birthday as you!).
The things I’ve notice as shifts are the feeling that I am free from the expectations I imposed upon myself. I prefer experiences over “things”. I notice more than I ever did before. My gratitude is deeper than ever. It’s a real, exciting time, of tangible change for the better. I am loving my 60s!
I know that you will ROCK yours✨. You are a fabulous gift to all of us.
💐🎀🎁🎀💐
Happy Happy Birthday, dear Colette.👸🏻Soak in the waves of love coming your way from across the world.
I love you so much and WE love you!! ✨💖💖💖✨
Happy, happy birthday Colette! I just love you! Enjoy your beautiful day! 😘❤️
Happy, happy birthday Colette! I just love you! Enjoy your beautiful day! 😘❤️
Happy birthday, Queen Colette!
Great post, Colette…so poignant and powerful! I’m right there with you on the age thing. I think of Louise Hay so much, how she started her company at 60. This is an exciting time in life…being able to take all of life’s wisdom and build a meaningful legacy.
I love this blog so much! Happy fantastic birthday Colette! You are just beginning to see the effect you have on so many people. As a soon to be 59 year old woman, I can relate so acutely to your perspective and am adopting the the same for myself. Life is blossoming, getting better and better. I’m celebrating You and look forward to the beauty of 60 along with you.
Happy Birthday Colette! This March, very first time, had positive, conscious about Birthday, and tuned 50. One of the greatest gift received was to discover you last year and ever since, the transformation has been… .. Beggining of this year, your book, “Uncharted” had helped me tremendously, first time in my life, gave me the courage to trust, one of the hardest thing and very vulnerable thing, and beautiful thing have learned. Thank you. So grateful. Being grounded is the most important of my wellbeing ( and to others around me), everytime either Reading your blogs, books, or listening to your books, radio shows, magically you deliver the ground ness, & amazing laughter! Looking forward ( and nervous) seeing you in Texas. Happy Birthday!
Happy Fantabulous you day Collette. I have been avid fan of yours for a few years and never tire of your quirky uplifting energy. I wish I could bottle it!!!! your emails always seem to come at just the right time. Divine timing yes?!!!
Donicka
Colette – I absolutely loved this! What else can I say that hasn’t been said by everyone above? Have a fabulous, no-holds-barred birthday celebration – it just gets better from here! I love speaking my mind, doing what I want and learning new things every day! You are a wonderful role model – you’re who I aspire to be!
I just marked my 60th birthday as well; just a couple of weeks ago. I found myself gladly sharing my aging with people. I find that at 60 I am more aware, healthier, happier, more grateful, and proud of who I am. Although my parents are gone, I always thank them on my birthday for giving me life, guiding me, supporting me, and being positive role models for me. I miss them most on my birthday.
Happy Birthday Colette! You are at a milestone! And not a scary one either! I love your posts and lessons also! I am 76yrs young and sometimes I feel like you described how society favors the young! But I believe we are young inside and it automatically shines on the outside! We are only as old as we feel and somewhere along the line, our bodies and thoughts settle on an age that suits us perfectly and that’s where we stay! I like that and I’m never ashamed to tell my real age because I like myself so I know others will also!
Hope you have a fantastically beautiful Birthday!
Happy Happy Birthday Year & new chapter Colette! I too am turning 60 this year (in September) and have notices something shifting. No clue what that is, but I know in my bones that I’m going to be moving into something totally different and my life if I choose to listen to the messages, will change in a big way. It’s scary and I don’t have the answers or roadmap yet, but I so appreciate you sharing your perspective. Here’s to Queendom power!!! xo
Colette, Happy Birthday! I hear you! I will be turning 60 in December and also feel ” the call to something more.” I hope to do as you have mentioned to “stay curious” and pay attention to what shows up. May you have a blessed and adventurous year! Much Love, Rena
Happy birthday, Colette! It is a special milestone and I hope you celebrate with joy and gusto. I loved your message; it spoke directly to me. And I believe that you are my “message in a bottle” for this week. 😉
I turned 66 on my last birthday and I’m thrilled to be where I am now. I had an amazing career and now I’m back in school studying to be a nutrition health coach. My goal is to work with recent and soon-to-be retired women, to help them embrace and enjoy this magical time in their lives. The sky’s the limit.
Happy birthday Colette! I look forward to your blogs and energy forecast videos each week not just because you bring such wonderful optimism and energy to them but your work helps me get reset and ready to face my new week with a positive attitude too. Thank you for the gifts!
Dear Colette,
You are an absolute blessing to this earth! I tune into your blogs/ posts weekly for valuable experience and guidance. I am not sure you realize how deeply you touch our lives with your laughter, love and knowledge! Beautiful hearts and minds never get old just more radiant! Thank you for sharing your gifts with us and Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday Colette, Loved your blog. I turned 70 this month. I, too, am grateful I arrived at my milestone in one piece. Life is an anthology of stories. For me each decade was a novel in and of itself. I am excited to be sailing into the uncharted waters of a new decade. It is all an adventure. Full steam ahead.
Happy Birthday dear Colette! Your wit and wisdom was good company during a dark time. You will be a most wonderful queen full of love and good cheer leading the charge towards enlightenment! As for your lovely cake, I leave you Rumi’s words from my favourite poem:
O Seeker,
These thoughts have such power over you.
From nothing you feel sad
From nothing you become happy.
You are burning in the flames
But I will not let you out
until you are fully baked,
fully wise,
and fully yourself.
Love, C
Happy Birthday, Beautiful Lady! Wow! I can’t believe you’re going to be 60! You look so young!!! On a different note, your oracle cards, (especially the written wisdom) have made all the difference in my life! They deepen my intuitive knowing and spiritual growth. If this is what it means to be turning 60, I’m looking forward to it! I hope you have an amazing 60th birthday!!! You are a blessing to this world, and I’m so glad you’re in it!
Happy Birthday Collette & to all the Queens celebrating birthdays & milestones wishing you all light love joy peace & many more years of everything your heart desires!
Happy Birthday Colette. I also turned 60 a couple of weeks ago….I am so grateful to you for your blogs, oracle cards and lessons in living the best version of myself as you are an incredible example to us all in doing that. Much love and blessings to you as you start your next adventure.
Happy birthday week! Appreciate the reminder in your blog to celebrate our milestones. Thank you!
Thanks for all you contribute to this world of ours. And happy birthday. I turn 66 August 8. When I was seven years old I wanted to be eight so badly I was about in tears. To console me, my mother would say, “Well, you’re in your eighth year” and that cheered me up. I love considering myself a wise woman crone. And I like saying that I’m almost seventy. I’m just now really accepting myself for who I am. Forever a painter/poet mystic, I have become the painting, the poem; I no longer have to write a word or paint a canvas. There’s such freedom for me in that. I am aware of myself in a constant state of becoming. I just had hair extensions put in, some of them violet. My red hair finally faded with age, so I have it colored a reddish brown. The extensions are brown with inches of blond at the ends. And with the addition of violet…OMGoddess! I receive compliments from old and young women alike. I love feeling that my choice to express myself (a very highly sensitive person) so freely gives other women my age permission to do the same. This is what being almost seventy does. This is the goddess age of wisewomancrone. I like to squeeze the words together to make one long word. Again Happy Birthday, Colette. I love your decks, and your Hayhouse radio broadcasts.
Hi Colette Many Happy Returns of the day. 60 years is a wonderful milestone and definitely worth celebrating. It’s a more personal milestone that needs to be acknowledged. All you have been become has led you to this moment and their is so much to treasure and celebrate it what has been overcome and achieved. Blessings everywhere.
For me it’s a releasing of the materialistic world and a wake up call that life is not to be post phoned. If you want to do something no better time than now!! If you want something get it.
Time to forget societies definition of what you can or can’t do should or shouldn’t be doing at 60. Don’t be restricted don’t listen.!!
Enjoy every moment of life with gratitude love and respect.xx💖
A very blessed and happy birthday Colette. I too, turned 60 this year. I am grateful to have gotten here and fared as well as I have! LOL Fourteen years of sobriety helps and the mindset that I am 35 though the wisdom to know better than to get too crazy!
Happy Birthday Collette! I used to always say that I thought our 30’s were the best years but now I’ve come to believe our 60’s are equally fantastic. Since I turned 60, I’ve become sober, turned my life over to my Higher Power, and became a grandmother! Life keeps getting better all the time. Thank you for all you do to help us on our journey! 😍🎂🌹
I too think of myself as a Queen. I am the Queen of my realm, not anyone elses. They must take care if there own realm. Nontheless, I am a Queen. Celebrated my Jubilation (60 years) 3 years ago. It’s not easy being Queen, so good to have others like you Queen Colette for inspiration and counsel.
Have a royally Happy Birthday!
My Dear Colette, Going through a Cronning Ceremony was a life changing event! I found a voice kept that before I have kept silent. I also found a self confidence and comfort within myself that I had previously been lacking. I am proud to call myself Crone!
So many ceremonies have fallen by the wayside in today’s world! These rites of passage are an important part of gaining a new recognization among our tribe as we mature!
I am humbled and honoured to offer these Rites of Passage Ceremonies thru my healing practice!
May the happiest days of the years gone by, be the saddest of your new year! Happy Birthday!
Love and Light, Cara💖
Happy Birthday Colette , Sixty never looked so good….Enjoy!
Happy belated birthday, Collette. I turned the big 5-0 on July13th, so my fellow Cancerian, as usual you are on your mystical to the point post and it never rang more true than reading your own journey into the magical mysterious. This year found me sick on my birthday and yet I wasn’t depressed as in years past. It’s as if I woke up and said, “I’m tired of being tired”. This life cake we have is to be enjoyed even if our plate sometimes seems to have too big of a slice. I want to thank you for all your warm encouragement you offer to all us your readers. Giving of ourselves freely is the greatest gift we can bestow. It makes for a life fulfilled. I hope your day was filled with all the joy, happiness and love you so freely give to all of us.
Happy Birthday! May your day be as special and blessed as you are.
Dear Colette, you’ve managed to make me sit up and take notice once again!
I had an experience on Saturday in which a gentleman I’d never met before asked me my age. I was offended at first. Then, annoyance at his audacity crept over me. Didn’t this clown know that “you never ask a lady her age”? Of course, he honestly meant no harm. He was merely looking for some commonality between us. It was I who had the problem. I was embarrassed to disclose to him that I was over 50. Like many, I have been conditioned to believe that women should keep their age a secret. Females have been assigned a badge of shame for reaching middle age while males who reach middle age are viewed as wise, worthy of respect and at least somewhat (relatively) successful in whatever they’ve chosen to undertake.
We’ve been set up to believe that women become less as we age. WTF? No! Not true at all. Women actually become free to be ourselves and free to live in our truth. We don’t need to colour our hair and disguise our wrinkles to remain youthful. That’s all a state of mind. Mature women are not dried up, worthless hags. We have great value to offer our sisters and daughters (and sons). Just like our male counterparts, we have gained wisdom, earned respect, created success and deserve the status that “arriving” bestows upon us. Anything else is a double standard and one that we women have to stop perpetuating.
Wishing you much love, peace and profound joy as you proudly enter this new decade. You are the fairest of Queens. Happy Birthday!
Colette, I love this message– HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!! I couldn’t agree more that this is a powerful decade to step into! I turn 60 in a few days too–on the 20th! (what’s your date?) I’m also a sober sister so it’s extra special to think we were born mere hours apart–how cool is that? I’m grateful for the love, energy, truth, beauty and light you share with all of us–and the world, which so needs our help right now. Here’s to stepping into our respective next chapters with big love and wisdom!
Dearest Colette,
Wishing you the very best, fabulous birthday!! And I want to thank you for absolutely everything you have so generously taught me over the past several years, above and beyond Oracles!!!
I treasure this idea of treating this as a rite of passage. I’m a whole 14 months younger and yet, you have been a consistent, constant mentor and inspirer!! Maybe rites of passage could be celebrated wh
Looking forward to the Spirit Animal deck!! And also looking forward to your next venture with Oracles.
Happy Birthday for the 17th, Colette. That’s today in Australia. I even had your birthday marked on my calendar. That’s how important you are to me 🙂 I loved what you said about this milestone and your new life cake. Happy Baking! I am also celebrating 60 years on planet Earth, in two weeks, and things are looking better than they have in a long time. 50 was more of a hurdle for me than 60. This year feels so promising. It’s as though Spirit has been waiting for this phase to kick in, and can barely contain its excitement. I am inspired by you to create an enormous, sparkly, life-cake, that tastes like heaven, and has absolutely no calories. Ha ha. Enjoy your special day, Colette. Go wild and dance up a storm. Love and sparkles.
I’m turning 40 this year and I’m also feeling a click over into a new self and world. My world is so different because of you and a couple of other gurus. Life was truly challenging before listening your guidance. We need leaders to believe in, follow and look up to and your authenticity shines through all the time. You made it okay for me to just continue being really me and take off my pretend face so I could stop jamming my square peg into the world’s round peg. Very grateful to you, Fred, your posse and your journey. Deep gratitude ❤ Wishing you the most blessed new year and decade Colette. May it be filled with the magnificent changes you’ve dreamed of and worked so hard to weild into reality by helping us to be brave enough to also wake up and cocreate. I try follow your example every day with myself and my clients. Happy happy Colette, may your new decade bring your best baking yet… 🎂🎈🎉🎁🍹 Thank you for being born and for choosing a path that we all needed #HowDoesItGetBetterThanThis #Birthday #NewYear #OracleGuru

Wow, firstly I cannot believe you are 60! Looking so much younger. Happy birthday and more power to you. Secondly, I turn 50 at the end of July and cannot wait – your timely Blog was a Universal gift I feel. I feel like I’m stepping in and stepping up as I too have heard the call and felt he movement of women rising up to take their place in the future of our wonderful Universe. Long may it continue. I am excited for the next chapter of my journey. Keep shining Colette 💜

Happy Birthday Colette! You are an inspiration! I can’t wait to see where your next stage brings you! I just had a conversation about how hard it is to be who you truly are in such a prescriptive society, but as I get older and wiser that all is becoming meaningless!
Sending you love, light, confetti and (virtual) cake in honor of your birthday and thank you for all the love and light you bring to this world with your smile and your work!! I hope to meet you in person this fall in Arizona! 🙂
Today I celebrate the life of a very special lady who is the change we wish to see in this world. Her heart is as big as the Universe and not a day goes by that just the thought of her makes me smile. That lady is you Colette. Because of you, my world has expanded and is ever changing for the highest good. Blow out all those candles on your cake and times them 1 million, for you have given yourself and all of us who love you so much, so very much to celebrate! Joyful Blessings Always! 💞
Thank you, Colette! This is beautiful…Happy, Happy, Milestone Birthday!
I will be 59 in November. To memory the biggest angst I had was turning 30…LOL!!! If I only knew then what I know now! Life begins at 50! Truly was my favorite birthday. Not that I have ever much been one to be attached to what others think of me or what I do (only child, Aries moon, Scorp Sun, Mars, Neptune all conjunct in the 1st house!) but turning 50 was so freeing! I woke up that morning and the world was different. Honestly, you sort of don’t give a shit anymore about the unimportant stuff! Happens in an instant! You start to get real. And I did…..
I don’t know what “59” (or any other age) is supposed to “feel” like. Somehow, I have never been one to even think about it or put a judgement on it. My Dad and Mom died relatively young (by today’s standards) yet I have never angsted over those ages or thought because they passed early and of disease that I would. Never entered my thoughts.
I think the key to aging starts in our thoughts and is then embraced by our hearts and souls. I’ve never expected to “feel old”. I never expected to be “ill” or have a “disease” Still don’t. Those things were just never in my mind or a part of my world one way or another. If something creeps up on me I try to address it immediately especially whatever emotion or experience might be at the core but I don’t give a lot of attention (energy) to what is out of balance other than what to do to heal it.
I think, for women, this time in our life is a great gift if we just embrace it. Know what truly matters. Let the little stuff go. Be fearless and start ticking stuff off your bucket list! Never let words of kindness and love go unsaid, you never know what tomorrow holds. Expect only the best. Know that it’s all about forgiveness, love and gratitude. Always lead with an open heart and you will never go wrong…Have Faith and Believe in Miracles….
May this be your best birthday ever, Colette! May it be filled with Laughter and Love. Thank you for you for being a part of my journey. May ALL your wishes come true!
It IS good to be Queen….. <3
Colette, Thank you so much for your comments. Yes this is a milestone and it is time for us to shatter the constraints that many cultures have placed on people, especially women. This new decade in earth years does not relate to our spiritual journey, as you so wisely said. We are continuously evolving and grow brighter rather than diminish and become invisible. I feel stronger, brighter and wiser with each year that passes and see that we are a generation that will change the way society views and wants to control us. Only we control ourselves. Thanks for the encouragement to all of us to continue this journey of becoming more and better than ever before. Your tribe salutes you on this milestone. Lead the way. We look forward to what lies ahead and the beauty of life that it will bring.
Happy Birthday Colette! And thank you for your guidance and oracle card wisdom each week. I love your Wisdom of the Oracle deck and have learned so much from your courses. This lesson is great as it reminds me that I can choose my experience at every age. I wish you an amazing birthday year!
Happy Birthday Lovely Lady!! No birthday gift could do justice for the gifts you’ve given me through your teachings, books and weekly readings these past few years. Because of you and connection with Spirit, I have healed in so many ways. As a result, I am a different person in so many positive ways. With humble gratitude, I send you love, hugs & kisses for an amazing birthday celebration and for every day thereafter to infinity!
Happy Birthday, Colette!!!!
Happy Birthday 🎈🎁 🎂 YOU ARE
TRULY A BLESSING AND EXAMPLE FOR ALL OF US… especially to me I will turn the amazing ‘70’
and at last – a totally blank canvas to imagine MY TRUE SELF.
Happy birthday, Colette!! You have been a crucial inspiration in my day-to-day life for 12 years now! Thank you so much for all that you give; for your joyous spirit, for your wisdom, and for being always yourself! You gave me a reading over 11 years ago with insights that helped make some of my dreams come true! I’ll never be able to thank you enough.
Thank you for being such a fun, magical, and comforting role model. Following your work has given me courage many times when I needed it.
Here’s to a fantastic new decade, new music, new creativity of all sorts, and new adventures! Looking forward to seeing what you get up to!
Much love,
Leslie
Dear Collette, Happy Birthday to you, and may the day and the celebration be as special as you are. I love the stages of life as you’ve defined them – maiden, priestess, queen, crone – as opposed to the more traditional maiden, mother, crone. I am a mother, but many of my friends are not, and don’t know quite what to do with that classification. But now I have a new idea for them! I am quite happy to be a queen, as I’ve always thought that the jump from mother to crone was a bit abrupt. I am 64, and your message this week was one that I really needed to hear. I welcome you to the realm of queen, as I (newly) welcome myself. Your oracle cards were the first ones I had (I had one tarot deck, but didn’t really know how to use it), and they all bring me such wisdom and joy! Many blessings to you, dear lady. Your wisdom and kindness is always so appreciated.
Hope your birthday is a whopping celebration and you get delighted, surprised and loved up! xo
Thank you Colette I love your weekly blog and Oracle readings. Have a magical birthday and an especially magical year ahead! With love, Rose
Happy Birthday, Colette!! I too am a Cancer girl, my birthday was the 11th and it was my 66th year! What a life it has been! You have been there for me, trained me in Oracle School, comforted me with inspiration from all the sources you have given me. I don’t know what life will give me from here until the end, but I do know that I have evolved into a place of peace, joy and great excitement for what’s left. Looking forward to what’s coming for me and you!
Wishing you much love on this birthday celebration. I have found that getting older (I turned 61 this year), gives me a free get out of jail card -meaning, I now speak my truth, live my truth and let my freak flag fly – from a place of compassion with no apologies. If someone doesn’t like it, I cannot and will not try to ‘fix’ someone else’s perception. Blessings to you, Mark and your wonderful fur babies.
Happy birthday decade, Colette♥️ I am 65 and thanks to Oracle School, I am bracing my Divine beauty and Crone inner wisdom. It’s a freeing time of life, and yes, the journey is a mystery. Thank you for affirming my journey♥️
Much love to you and may Spirit always light your way😘
Here’s to a grand day, Colette! I turn 62 this week. So from one Cancer to another in our 6th decade welcome to the decade that (I feel) most supports our Sun sign! 6 is about family and nurturing, about love and community. We are basking in this decade of love before all else. Happy Day, Queenie!
Colette – I i the 60 mark almost 2 years ago and it felt very strange to say I am 60 it felt surreal since I still look young and very much in touch with my inner child and my inner rebel. I have not always honored my milestones with the reverence they deserve but have kept the transformation inside. Milestones can be created any day in any way. I am making milestones now in my life by embracing my spiritual journey and every new experience is a milestone. Happy Birthday
Kathy
happy birthday too!
love it
BIG love and happy birthday too!
blessings and big hugs
Happy Birthday and thank you for your guidance. Enjoy your day off.
Colette, thank you for all that you do and I hope you have a wonderful 60th birthday! I turned 30 this year and felt it was an important passage for me. I considered the day a turning point and decided to leave much pain and angst in my 20s and turn towards my 30s with new energy. I am grateful for all the women who go before me and help rewrite the stories to empower us who are heading that way. Thank you for your work, the energy you exude and for paving a path for the next generation to follow. So much love xx Irina
Happy Birthday! May the week, year and journey be filled with abundance!
Happy Birthday, Colette!
You look so young!
And I like how you said, “exotic life cake”!
Wishing you a wonderful, happy, joyous birthday. You truly are an awesome person! Funny and bubbly and compassionate and creative and original. And your blog and videos are awesome too.
Kind regards,
Ann
I know this entry is weeks later, but I’m hoping someone is still monitoring the blog.
All the above comments are enriching, and I’m grateful that I tuned in, even though the timing is perhaps “off.” My daughter has begun the pause of the menses, surely another of the overlooked rites of passage. In her case, she is a strong woman, but does not equate her strength with her femininity. She is unmarried, I know would have Iiked to have had a life partner and to have enjoyed motherhood, but other (career) stuff intervened. She is feeling a loss associated with this passage, perhaps a regret as well. Is there a ritual or some way of acknowledging this situation that will put a more powerful perspective on the reality? I’d like to be able to put together a “celebration “ at her birthday in October that will acknowledge both and give her some inner peace and a hopeful outlook.
Thank you in advance, with much appreciation for all that you do!
there is one.. one that you can design yourself! like you said a celebration of her strengths etc.
