Here we are, standing at the edge of another year—can you believe it? It’s the perfect time to pause, reflect, and clear the decks (pun intended) so you’re ready to step into 2025 with open arms and a fresh and hopeful perspective. Whether 2024 felt like a marathon, a merry-go-round, or some combination of both, let’s take some time over the next couple of weeks to tie up loose ends, release what’s no longer needed, and set our sights on what’s next.
And, because I’m here to help, I’ve pulled together some of my favorite year-end practices, including journaling prompts, a card spread, and a meditation to help you clear your mind.
And, if you’re ready to go BIG with this energy, I’d love for you to join me at Beyond Limits: Manifest a New You in 2025—a brand new virtual event to help you step into the new year with clarity, purpose, and confidence. But first, let’s dive into some fun, meaningful ways to close out the year.
3 Tips to Clear the Way for the New Year
Tip #1: Reflect and Release (Journaling Prompts)
Grab your journal (or whatever paper is closest—hey, even a receipt works!) and spend a little time with these questions:
- What were my biggest wins this year?
- What surprised me about 2024—good or bad?
- What am I most grateful for?
- What do I need to let go of to make room for the new?
- What dreams or intentions feel the most exciting as I look ahead?
Here’s the fun part: once you’ve answered the “let go” question, do something symbolic to release it. Write it on paper and toss it into the fireplace (safely, please!) or crumple it up and throw it away.
Tip #2: Let Your Cards Do the Talking (A Simple Oracle Card Spread)
This is the perfect time to let your Oracle Cards speak to you about the year ahead. Try this End-of-Year Reflection spread for clarity and guidance:
- Card 1: What message does Spirit want me to take from 2024?
- Card 2: What energy will best support my growth in 2025?
- Card 3: What do I need to focus on as I move forward?

Tip #3: Clear Your Mind with Meditation
Meditation doesn’t have to be complicated—especially at the end of the year when things can feel a little…well, chaotic. This simple practice will help you center yourself and clear the space for the new year.
- Sit comfortably, close your eyes, and take three deep breaths.
- Picture this year gently drifting away, like leaves carried by a stream. Let go of anything you’re ready to release.
- Visualize a bright light ahead, symbolizing the potential of the new year. Allow that light to fill you with hope and clarity.
- End with a moment of gratitude, say thank you and acknowledge everything that’s brought you to this point.
Need a little more guidance? I’ve got you covered. Check out my guided meditation playlist on YouTube to guide you through a variety of meditations, including a gentle cord cutting meditation, perfect for closing out the year.
Ultimately, try to find some ways to have fun and allow in joy as the year comes to a close. Whether it’s sipping hot cocoa while journaling, pulling cards in your coziest pajamas, or turning your releasing ritual into a dance party, find ways to make it fun and uniquely you.
And remember, you don’t have to have it all figured out by January 1. Growth, healing, and dreaming are an ongoing process. The most important thing? Show up for yourself and trust that the Universe is there supporting you.
The end of the year is such a special time. It’s an invitation to honor how far you’ve come and get excited about all the magic that’s ahead. Whether you use these tips or join me for Beyond Limits in January, I hope this season brings you peace, clarity, and a whole lotta sparkle.
Here’s to stepping into the new year with an open heart, fresh perspective, and a playful spirit, because the best is yet to come!
