I should be thinking about getting a pumpkin and making spice cookies or caramel apples cuz ‘tis the season, but I’ve been immersed in discovering new ways I could explore and refine using different art forms as a manifesting process. I’ve actually freaked myself out by the wild results (stay tuned) that cannot possibly be coincidences. (Yes, even I am still amazed by the magic we can all tap into!!)
So, this week I drew a blank about what to write about since this is pretty much all I’ve been thinking of for the better part of this last year.
Normally, I love to write poetically about Halloween and all its glorious, spooky, sacred, sweet, gooey, fabulousness. But this time, I decided to do something different. I thought, “Ok, I am going to draw something and ask the Universe to tell me what I should be writing about.”
So, I did my favorite exercise – just drawing lots of circles on a piece of paper round and round and round adding flowy intuitive lines through it while tuning into receiving exactly what I need for the highest good of all.
Once I finished, feeling completely Zen from the exercise, I decided to choose an Oracle. I love to play a fun game with my inbox I call The Inbox Oracle. (You should try it, it’s so hysterical sometimes like the time I asked what I needed to know about my eyes because I was dealing with eye strain. The next email I opened was a spam ad that said “OPEN YOUR EYES and See What You’re Missing!!”) Ha!
Here’s how it works: I set my inbox only to show unopened emails, spin my cursor up and down, and click. Whatever I land on becomes the Oracle message.
So, TADA my inbox Oracle was an article I had not read from the Wall Street Journal about something that’s gone viral online called “October Theory”. I rarely spend much time on TikTok or other social media channels for personal reasons, unless I am looking for baby wombats, nicer minimizer bras, or a better way to cut your own bangs, hence I did not know about this.
However, if you haven’t heard about it – it’s like a reboot for your life, your intentions and achievements you want to manifest that you need to recommit to before the end of the year and it starts in October.
This idea really has merit. I redo my manifestation goals quarterly, especially when the external world is in a cycle of chaos. It really helps you stay resilient and grounded, and in October it’s like planting seeds in a time you know leads to slowing down into darkness and quiet.
It’s the season of introspection, letting those intentions and good habits take root deep into the ground of your life, and knowing that new life is set in motion for a powerful head start to the new year in January. You do not have to wait until the New Year to claim your new self.
So, I think I shall rename this the Last Week of October Theory. It’s never too late to renew your vows to your inspired destiny. Take that one step toward the gods, and you’ll see them take 10 steps towards you.
Happy Manifesting!!
What a great idea Collette!!
Love you,
Diane xxxx
