Happy Full Moon (and partial lunar eclipse!) What are you letting go of?
My favorite astrology team at Moon Omens has this to say about the energy of today that, if you don’t get to reading this for a bit will still stand by the time you get to it.
“When a Full Moon happens in Pisces, the last sign of the Zodiac, the energy of culmination and closure is amplified. Lunar Eclipses are supercharged Full Moons, which magnify the cathartic nature of these events and challenge us to close cycles and release what is no longer aligned with our Soul’s truth. The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces invites us to take a look at what is coming to an end in our lives and how we are dealing with the process of letting it go. The Moon is going to be conjunct with Pisces’ modern ruler, Neptune. This event will ask us to trust Divine Timing and surrender to a Higher Plan rather than trying to change the course of our lives by imposing our mind’s agenda on it.”
There really is no one-size-fits-all approach to this. You might be letting go an old relationship, or perhaps a friendship has reached its conclusion.
Maybe it’s time to declutter your house and part ways with those chatty tchotchkes that seem to babble at you when you look at them. Oy, the stories they tell! And what about the shaming pants from your closet—those teeny-waisted satin cigarette pants you wore to those after-hours clubs in the 90s? The ones you’ve been saving for the elusive “ONE DAY I WILL GET THESE UP MY ASS AGAIN” moment.
Yup, we are still in Virgo season, where we must put our critical eyes to good use.
There is, of course, the opportunity to clear out the thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors that genuinely have no business being on repeat in our lives. As this month’s theme of self-care becomes increasingly important, being aware of old patterns that no longer serve you is highlighted.
I had an enlightening conversation with The Brothers Koren you really need to hear as part of their newest Summit. We talked about what happens when we lose our voice in service to people-pleasing as a means of self-protection, how society is built on being voice-hostile, and how many of us fear the repercussions of speaking our truth.
You may or may not identify with this, but I spent most of my life being told I was too loud, I talked too much, I was too friendly, I was just too much, period. I was also told I wasn’t enough—not skinny enough, not tough enough, not (feel free to insert word) enough too.
So, I learned that there were consequences to being myself, and I adjusted accordingly. That said, while I’ve spent years healing from this, I noticed this way of protecting myself has unconsciously resurfaced in my life over the past few years. I know 1000% that the price of repressing my voice and the crippling anxiety that comes with it is worse than the price of pissing people off, or saying the wrong thing.
So, this Full Moon, I am celebrating the awareness that this is something real that I am ready to release (again) and replace it with more courage and self-respect. That’s not to say I plan on becoming a keyboard warrior and diving into any of the numerous shouting galleries online.
In this list of doing the things to let go, the most important one is present in the sign of lunar influence- Pisces. This is the sign that reminds us of our direct connection to the Divine, and this relationship must be a priority above all others. The sign of Pisces reminds us of our inherent spirituality and this is when we’re reminded real change, real transformation from the inside out, real miracles don’t come from the human will. No -we must ask for help from the Divine. I couldn’t transform my life just because I wanted to. I know what I’m talking about intimately 38 years ago, I was an alcoholic and addict and no human power could help me stay clean and sober. I had to have divine aid, surrendering my will and my life to the care of a Higher Power I had to trust. I had to believe before I saw results.
So this full moon eclipse is all about Divine Will and the invitation to ask for help, for guidance, for inspiration and intuition that is gifted to us, when we ask for it humbly and with all our heart.
Just remember: even in asking for help we can’t dictate the timing of the answers. Divine timing is always the best timing. What better self-care could we ask for?
Thank you, Pisces Moon.
Love,
Colette

Dear Colette,
I so much feel it too – have been told since childhood being too… all of this – loud, too much, too smart, too strong, too brave, too fast, too curious, too messy, too intense, too passionate….. and not enough…all of this – not enough skinny, not using my potential fully etc .. and overall girls dont behave like this. I just didn’t fit in and indeed – I did everything possible to still somehow fit in…but try to fit tiger to catbox :). now, at 57, i made total turnaround, put down my prestigious and well paid job where i burned out totally and trying to set my own small business in verycdifferent area. will see, where it leads me 🙂 – the only thing i need, is deep trust and letting go of old.. not easy always :).
The post and this quick meditation were fantastic. I thank you so much for your words, as I’m had a world of hurt since only sibling’s death less than 2 years ago. More than 10 other deaths accrued, new car self-drove and crashed self, and have had sadness, self-doubt and loss of confidence. Your post really helped me much. Thank you for all you do.
Beautiful… yes, thank you Pisces Moon, and thank you Colette, for your years of service and authentic transparency, a trueblessing you are.
The cord cutting meditation brought me to tears❣️
